p.271-277
Jumping ahead just a bit to bridge with the last lesson, #13. There is a quote on p. 289:
“As we have said many times, you do not become the Christ, the Divine Self, the True Self, the Infinite Self, whatever you wish to call it. The Christ becomes you, the Divine as you, the truth as you, love as you in broadcast and expression—and, in this text, we add in form.”
***************
“When the Divine Self witnesses something in fear that was created in fear, she has the purview, the jurisdiction, the amplitude, and the True Self that knows what is before her, to re-create or realign the vibrational form of the things she sees.”
We spent some time review this paragraph, since the wording seemed confusing.
Many spiritual authors make reference to an aspect of our spiritual nature or a quality of our spiritual nature which is often referred to as the Observer self or the Witness. the Witness or the Observer does just that. It does not judge or evaluate, and in some ways is associated with our Awareness.
The Observer can be aware of fear in another without having to be touched or identified with that fear. Through this awareness we can choose, in whatever ways possible, to raise the vibration of another beyond the vibration fear. Even though in our Observer we are aware that fear is an illusion, we can also realize that our brother or sister might be lost in that illusion.
The best way I have of understanding this is imagining that a child that I love is fearful or afraid of something. I acknowledge the fear; I do not deny it nor do I simply brush it off as being an illusion; nor do I judge him/her for being afraid. Obviously none of those responses would be very helpful to the one I am with. I acknowledge the fear without becoming caught up in it and I open my heart in compassion to this one that I perceive is trapped in an illusion. I love them; I accept them where they are, and in doing so, even though I accept them where they are, I do not choose to see them as being a person in fear or as a being as lost in illusion. I choose to see them as a Divine Child of God, truly loved and totally free. And by doing so, I open myself and them to the opportunity of existing and participating in a higher vibration of being.
Please keep in mind that even though in the limited awareness of our separate self, we percive this as an individual journey, we are also approaching this material in the midst of our racial consciousness. It is not one person who creates a war or any other profound low vibrational set of circumstances. It is the consciousness or perhaps the unconsciousness of many beings that produces these results. Although, in some ways, each one of us is working out our own salvation, what we do and how we experience it also has a profound effect on all beings.
There is a school in Buddhism named Mahayana, which literally means the Big Boat. Its philosophy is that the boat does not leave until everyone is on it. The Buddha chose to contunue incarnations until all are enlightened. It is somewhat similar to the image presented in A Course in Miracles of Jesus, as the ascended Christ consciousness, standing at the open door to Union with the Father or what we sometimes refer to as Oneness, and what he says essentially is “I will not go through the door until everyone else is here.
We are reminded again how the vibrational energy of this work and that we are being taught and lead not just through words or the mind or the intellect, but that the guides are working within us through our own willingness and intention to raise our vibration and the vibration of all beings. As was pointed out--vibration effects matter such as the body rather than the other way around.
There was a startling image that I found tremendously moving:
“You imagine the old lady dressed for her wedding many years after the wedding failed. She still expects the music and the dancing, but her veil is corrupt, her dress in tatters. In many ways, you are all this woman when you defy your present moment and the gifts that are present in it by assuming what you should be or should have been. The music of the Divine Self is always playing on the worst night or the best. It is here, it is here, it is here, and may be known as and by you.”
Fear Is all that keeps us away from the truth. The truth of Who We Are, the perfect love and the perfect piece that we could be experiencing. “Why is this so?” you ask, “Why would we hold onto fear that seems to get in the way of what we desire the most?
Each one of us has our own answers to that question, but the world that most of us grew up in was one in which qualities such as peace, joy, happiness, contentment and even simply being in balance--our experience of those qualities was all pretty arbitrary in nature. We were all trained to identify with our personality selves and because of that we remained almost completely dependent upon external circumstances to create these essential qualities. We did not look upon them as being our birthright as Spiritual Beings, we looked upon them as being created by the circumstances in life which we had little or no control over. So the peace, self-esteem, and happiness all could be whisked away by someone else’s whim or anger.
To protect ourselves from that devastation, we created a fear around those qualities, which we desire the most, because it was just so painful when they were taken away.
I know all of this still remains true when we are speaking of our personality self. Yes, from the point of view of the personality self, all of these qualities that we seek are arbitrary and elusive and can be taken away in a twinkling. However when we are in alignment with our divine self, these qualities that we seek-- love, peace, prosperity, wellness can never be taken away because they already exist as part of our being.
So here again where our identification with our personality self interferes with our knowing and our experience of the truth of Who We Are.
Although we were all moved by the awareness that war is murder I would also encourage us to be aware of the following paragraphs which might serve as an antidote to our racial consciousness that has grown to believe that War or conflict is inevitable.
“Now, when we teach you freedom, we operate in some ways with what you are in your current expression to be valued by you so that you may move beyond it in the new claim that you make. “I am free as I am in this moment, in this eternal now.” And the being that you are, who knows herself as free, unchained, unattached, untethered to the rules and regulations of society’s need to conform, to be what they think you should be, what you would be by another’s rule, the truth of what you are may be liberated and known and sung in a new song.”
“As you stand before us, we wish to claim you again in freedom. And realize this, friends. We are claiming what is true and what is always true, just what has been denied by a world that is operating out of alignment with truth.
We see you in your beauty, we see you in your right to be, in all you have known and may know, and in your freedom you may sing the new song of truth that is your embodiment. We call you forth, each and every one of you, the wonderful brigade we witness in transformation who claim their truth, not only for their own well-being, but for the well-being of their world.”
And finally, today, let us dwell on the following piece:
“The gift you receive today is a higher vibration in announcement: “I have claimed my truth, and the manifestation of it will be known by me.” As you announce this—“I have claimed my truth”—the alignment to what you’ve received that is already present in your field will begin to work with you to out-picture this in your experience. The truth of what you are, the manifested self, will begin to resonate as the body you hold, and the experience of consciousness that you embody as will reflect back the new world we have talked to you about.
Now the incarnation you stand in has been brought to you to recover and remember and reknow what you are outside of claims made in history. And the relinquishing of the past, as we have discussed thus far, is required on certain levels to begin to perceive the self as without the fear that was born in past times.
All fear, you see, seeks to work in memory. You have an intention to be free, and the fear that you may have known of what it entails, what you might have to encounter, what others will say or do, is what inhibits you. It is never anything in the present moment because the present moment that you know yourself in is, in fact, untethered by historical data as you know what you are.”
In grace and in gratitude for us all.
