BOOK OF TRUTH 11

We will be out of town for a couple of weeks so our next
meeting will be 1/8

The Divine Self that you are is enlightened. The small self will never be. And your seeking to attribute your divinity to the small self, who operates through the system of time and is moored to the agreements of the flesh, is what you claim when you seek to know the small self as God. It is not. The Divine as you is here, is here, is here as what you are and may only be. The Divine as what you are has been the teaching of this text, and the self that you know in agreement to truth is the one who bypasses the system of time as consciousness.

Not only do we live in a world that we created, but we have also created all sorts of structures for different reasons, and many of these structures are not an expression of Truth so much as they are an expression of convenience.

What happens to most of us is that we have made these systems into reality or into truth, when in fact they are all arbitrary to some degree.

The simplest one to pick apart is our concept of time. Not only did we create the concept, but we also created how it was to be measured. Minutes, hours, days, years, all arbitrary choices. Other structures like money, red and green lights, the “right”side of the road. Think of a few yourself.
We are not denying the usefulness of some of these systems and constructs. However, when we become slavishly aligned to them, we are limiting ourselves in many ways.

“Now what does it mean,” Paul asks, “to bypass time?” We will honor you this question. It means you comprehend the timepiece on your wrist, you understand its use, you understand the collective agreement to show up for work on Monday. But you know what you are, the Divine as what you are, is unlimited by the clock. Use the word unlimited well— which simply means is not suppressed, is not withheld, is not imprisoned by time— because if you do this with time and make time your keeper, you have made a God of time. And God, itself, exists in all time and no time because God is all things. You do not make an appointment with God to have a nice chat at the last moment of your life, because God is as present now, as what you are, as it will ever be. But to be in agreement to this means you have claimed in being the vibration of Source as what you are in manifestation.

That is the whole point here. We are not attempting to create anarchy by throwing everything away, but it is important not to give our power away to a created system. We can all become become so identified with a created system of thought that we never question its reality.

Another example came to mind as I was thinking about this today and that is the concept of the ownership of land. The Native Americans found this to be probably one of the most ridiculous things that white man ever conceived of. Here he comes with a piece of paper signed by somebody oceans away, and  it says he owns this piece of land! “How can anyone own the land,” the natives ask? It would be like claiming ownership of a piece of the sky.

And yet we can see in the world we live in the ownership of land, deeds, surveys, state lines, national boundaries, govern much of our thinking. I recall one of the astronauts exclaiming as he looked at Planet Earth for the first time saying, “There are no boundary lines.” In other words, they only exist because we created them and just because we have created something does not make it the truth.

One of the primary lessons here is to know that when I am asleep, when I am unaware, then I become identified with, attached to and enslaved by these arbitrary systems. They become part of my reality and they also begin to define who I am. (I am late; I am early; I am on time). On the other side, when I am awake, I am aware, I realize the usefulness of some of these created systems, and at the same time I also realize they are arbitrary at best and a reflection of a desire to control rather than the truth.

“On this day I claim that I will have a new realization of what I am, the Divine Self in manifestation and all things in it outside of time, so that my knowing and realization of what I am as an eternal being will be claimed by and through me and expressed as me in consciousness and form. And as I agree to this, I give permission to be supported in this realization by the Divine that I am and all who attend to me as my enlightenment is manifest in my being. I claim this of my own free will. I know what I am in truth. I am here. I am here. I am here.”

A final piece that came out of our work together was challenging the thinking that would say, “It's always been this way and therefore it will always be this way.” The example of war came up, and how it seems historically that there has always been war and conflict. How is it possible that this would be eradicated? it seems as if something which is such a constant part of our history would always be there. War is inevitable!

The claim of the guides here is that when we change our perception then the reality we live in changes. “When you change the way you see things, the things you see change.

We all struggled with this war thing. And then we began to think of some aspects of our world that have dramatically changed in the past few years. Codependency and Adult Children of Alcoholics was unheard of a few years ago. The only indication that something was happening here was in Al-Anon, which seemed to only affect a small group of people.

But at some point, people began to see a repetitious pattern going from one generation to the next in alcoholic families. And many decided that this chain of maladaptive behaviors could change. It could stop here.

Look at the women's movement, the me-too movement, stop smoking campaigns. All of these open us up to the realization of the possibility are the change in energy, a change in vibration, a change in perception and when perception changes the thing being perceived changes as well.

BOOK OF TRUTH 10

P. 242-246
Kind of a wild ride this evening!

“So we are being told that we have to see all things in a different way and render the landscape that we have known as a false place?”

Our perceptions, and therefore our experiences are influenced by a multitude of factors. We all might be in the same place at the same time and yet our experience can be quite different from the person next to us. It is most likely important to recognize the especially as we communicate with one another. To realize the other person is probably perceiving and experiencing the situation differently from me.

For a good piece of this next section the guides explored the concept of time. The emphasis was on how we, as a race, have made an arbitrary measuring device such as a calendar into the truth. Clocks and calendars— 24 hours in a day 12 months in the year etc. have become so much a part of our lives that we do not even question them.

We are not suggesting that you throw your calendars and watches away, but to be aware that this system of time measurement is an arbitrary one. It might suit many of us but it is simply a system that was created by man.

If you can imagine right now that the moment that you sit in, the very moment you sit in, is in fact eternity and the eternal now that you stand in is always in present time, the idealization of achievement, things born in structure, begins to diminish.

We have all experienced circumstances in life when what we call time, has been suspended, speeded up, or slowed down. We can simply become so engrossed in what we are doing that time becomes either nonexistent or irrelevant. In instances such as this, we have released our created concept of time and literally allowed ourselves to be in timelessness.

Now we are not saying that time is not of value. But we are illustrating it as a collective agreement that you have all adhered to as law. As you align to the Divine as you, the what you are in form, you will not do so through the standard clock. You will not do so in obeyance to structure because these things that you know serve to compress your experience into codification for the purpose of utilizing a shared agreement. The manifested self, the one that knows itself in form, must then be transformed to a new potential that even the body in its divinity may be thought of as timeless or without time.

*************
Now Paul is in a rut here, attempting to dig himself out. “Well, I hear what they’re saying. I will have no part of it. We are not immortal. And if they are taking us there, I am going away.”

It has been suggested that Paul, as the scribe of this work, has also volunteered himself to speak out about our own doubts and fears.

I found myself responding to the quotation above in a very one-dimensional way. “I mean here is this person who has been living in close contact with these guides and their lessons and dictations and yet here he seems to be almost totally irrational.”

It was pointed out to me that Paul probably did not say this out loud or even think those thoughts directly in his mind, but that the guides were responding to some deep inner doubt or fear or unworthiness that was preventing Paul and the rest of us as well from accepting these truths on the deepest levels of our being.

“I know all of this is true, but I am not quite sure if I fully believe it or not.” If I fully believed it all then I would always be in touch with the truth that I am unique expression of Divine lLove. My fits and starts with forgetfulness are indications to me that I am not quite there yet. Not judgment simply awareness.

Our concept of time is certainly tied up with the concepts of growing old and dying. Here is a challenging aspect of our work. On one level we can look at death as simply being the letting go of the physical body and knowing the me that I Am still very much exists. As Ram Dass reflected on the passing of his guru, he did not feel a deep sense of sadness because he continued to sense his presence. He asked the question simply, “Where did he go?”

Now that seems to either deny or perhaps even put down our natural human feelings at the passing of a loved one. I am reminded of the story about the abbot of a Zen monastery who heard that his teacher had passed away. The Abbott made preparations to go to his master's funeral, and took a few chosen disciples with them. When you got to the burial place he knelt by his master’s grave and cried. His students were scandalized. They thought to themselves, “Here is our master, so detached, living in timelessness, and yet here is crying. And so they bravely questioned him and he answered very simply, “I am crying because I am sad.”
I am also calling to mind the shorted line in Christian scripture, “Jesus Wept” (at the death of his friend Lazarus).

The illusion of time supports death. But death, you see, is only comprehended at this level of reality. And as you assist the vibratory shift that is taking place on this plane and begin to render reality in its true nature through the alignment to truth that you perceive all things in, the death and the frame of death that you have all claimed is lifted again to the comprehension of the transition outside of the physical realm, which it only is.

So here we are beginning to confront one paradox after another and not necessarily getting the answers that the mind craves, but allowing ourselves to live more and more comfortably in the mystery of things.
